Students who are currently in Year 6 and interested in applying for entry to Cowra High School’s Academic Excellence Stream will be able to sit the entrance test early in Term 4. The test involves 45 multiple choice questions in 40 minutes, covering questions on words, numbers and patterns. Students do not need to study for the test.
Students at Cowra PS will be tested on Thursday October 12, Week 1 Term 4, and students at Mulyan on Monday October 16, Week 2 Term 4, at their schools. Notes will be going home from the primary schools about the testing at each school. Note the testing at Mulyan was originally scheduled for the same day but has been moved due to a clash.
Any students from small schools in the Cowra area can attend Cowra PS and do the test there at 9:30 am on Thursday October 12, Week 1 Term 4.
Students from St Raphaels or other schools will be tested at 3:30 pm at Cowra High School in the Library, also on Thursday October 12, Week 1 Term 4. Please contact Mr Steve Howard on 6342 1766 beforehand if your child will be sitting the test then.
For any students who are unable to be tested on Thursday October 12, please contact Mr Steve Howard so that an alternative time in the first few weeks of Term 4 can be organised.
If you have any questions about the Academic Excellence Stream or the AGAT please contact Mr Howard at the school on 6342 1766.
